LA has found some offense improving their team batting average to .281 and winning 5 straight games through Wednesday's action. Suddenly they are 2nd in the NL in batting average and 3rd in runs scored. Who said this team-lacked offense?? And that's with Andrew Jones hitting a buck 59. Penny is having a great season sporting an ERA of 2.89 through 6 starts. He held the Rockies to 3 runs and 4 hits in victory last week. The Rocks have struggled in April with a record of 11-17 and losing 9 of their last 11 to close out the month. They are struggling with the bats in clutch spots batting only .215 with runners in scoring position. The Rockies Ace Jeff Francis is winless this season but has put together 3 decent starts in a row. Francis limited the Dodgers to just 2 earned runs through 7 innings in a tough luck defeat due to lack of run support. But the Dodgers bats are hot right now and their bullpen has been outstanding and if this game gets down to the late innings I will take LA over the Rockies pen. Colorado's bullpen has blown 4 saves at home and sports a home ERA over 7. Take LA –125.
