The San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears meet Thursday in a preseason game with the Bears a 3-point favorite. Preseason games in week 3 are the most important as coaches set a game plan and starters will go deep into the game. I like the fact the Kyle Orton was named the starter for the Bears on Monday. I expect the Bears to get a bounce with the quarterback position settled. The Seahawks ran blitzes on Grossman last week in Seattle that resulted in a bad night for Rex and losing the quarterback battle in Chicago. Seattle did not scored a touchdown against the Bears in the first half last week with Charlie Frye leading the Seahawk offense. This is a quick turnaround for San Francisco having to travel to Chicago for a Thursday contest. We will see if JT O’Sullivan can perform on the road in Chicago who will most likely run their regular season defense on him. Take Chicago –3.
