Pro Football Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans (-4 ½) (Monday 8:30PM ET)
This game has been moved to Monday Night due to Hurricane Ike. This will be a big test here for Joe Flacco on the road against Houston. Flacco’s average completion went for just 4.4 yards last week. I expect the Texans to try and stop the run here and force Flacco to throw downfield. Mario Williams will bring a strong pass rush and the rookie will need to make quick decisions. The Texans play much more inspired football at home. Texan quarterback Matt Schaub should have success passing the ball downfield to his receiving corps that has good height advantage against the Ravens secondary. Baltimore is 0-8 against the spread in their last 8 road games and we have a rookie coach and rookie QB making his first start on the road against a team that plays much, much better football at home. It’s always easier to throw at home and Matt Schaub will have a good game here. Play Houston –4 ½.
